                    Are you sure its not mole-skin which is also soft to touch.

                    I too have a question regarding most of these tabs and that is they all seem to have this curvature on the left side does anyone know why this should be ... ?

                          Original EM tab, but the BS RZM tag draws into serious question whether the bullion piping was an actual period upgrade. IMO, it is almost certainly a post-war creation, intended to sell a standard EM tab for more than it is worth.
