The story is that i got it from a old family member in 1973 when i was then 10 years old, well copys exist back then i know so thats why i ask here for some opinions

I also think this is an original skull button. Some of these were painted, even the nickel silver ones.

The fake 1194's are all 40 dated, so the 39 dated ones are a good bet!Comment

I agree, this one is real. Keep in mind that originals were also marked 1194/40 as well as 1194/39. The good fakes are cast from original 1194/40 marked buttons only, (as of now), but their construction is sloppy. This one is good.
