Er kämpfte für uns! waffen-ss postwar framing

Er kämpfte für uns! waffen-ss postwar framing. The Wiking cuff is probably the
bookmark that is suppose to be from a vet- book of the wiking history.

I believe this to be a framing to remember a fallen Wiking member. Not a framing to
cheat a collector. It looks like a old framing, but the 70s could maybe be a good guess.

Have someone seen framing like this before. The background paper seems like a factory produced paper.

    Any comments are welcome.

    Thanks
    Nicolai

I agree, it's the bookmark cufftitle.

nice and personal post war remembrance item

      In my opinion:
Taking the whole framing in consideration I agree that it was not meant to fool. More on the lines of meant to honor and remember the fallen man. The relative did their best to acquire a facsimile of his band-not to fool, but to honor to the best of their ability.
Also notice how "SS" symbols are purposely not overtly prominent, and only in the small print...probably trying not to attract negative attention as is consistent with the post war era's view of W-SS .
Also: nice aged look to the printed information.

I agree, they specifically do not have him in a Waffen-SS Uniform Portrait as this RAD Ensemble is less offensive.

I am more concerned about the Tenpenny Nail holding that thing on the Wall, seems overkill for something less that 50 lb.

          thanks

          thanks for the comments...

Nice spottet, the words about the nail. I just hanged it there to make the photos:-) the nail is for a much larger framing.
