Parkas on the western fron 44-45

I have seen very few pictures of SS-soldiers wearing the full parka set on the western front 44-45. Since a majority of the winter clothing went to the eastern front, its more common to see smocks, greatcoats and other clothing.

Have any of you heard or seen any examples of units that were fully fitted with the parka sets anyway?

Wehrmacht had many parka sets where the Waffen-SS only got them in January.

          Thanks Nick!

I think its safe to presume that most likely none of the SS-units recieved parka sets before Wacht am Rhein. Most of the units were moved to the eastern front after the offensive, where they did recieve them.

Does anybody know about 6.SS Nord? Perhaps they had them handed out before Nordwind?

Those are fresh Estonian (or Latvian?) SS volunteers going to the Narva front...(not the West).
They were issued the older side caps in the winter of 1944/45 (as opposed to M43's) which is
typical for Baltic volunteers, based on many photographs!
