Not sure on the w it may just be a scratch . Since no one has delared it a known fake then i will run under the understanding that this is a good skull stamp likely done for an ss soldier . Does anyone disagree ?

Well, that is a dangerous way to think, I think it is better to consider something a fake until it is proven original! Fake stamps on old items have been around in this hobby for a long, long time.

the skull stamp looks inordinately large in comparison to the case lid...I would think that as an original,it would be much smaller,,,my 2 cents
