    SS KC Grouping

Here is a grouping to an SS Knight's Cross winner. KIA in Russia, the cloth is from my collection and the photo was from a different source. The family kept the formal doc and I imagine his cross is most likely where ever he is resting now.
Both EK1s are engraved and a few other items are in the box. It is interesting as all this stuff was what He had at home, he had a silver wound badge and I guess that is why the black one is here.

Hello Dave, this is a very nice interesting grouping
Obviously he served in the LAH, but as...? What is his name?
Very nice collar patches, they nicely match up with the picture!
    cheers

      ..abothe the name..

His name is Hermann Dahlke and he served in the SS LAH. This photo is quite famous. Interesting is that the silver board of the collartabs are removed. Sometimes this happened to prevent snipers from spoting the officers.

      Hope it helps,
      /

        Hi Dave,

Great group, did you pick that up on the estand? I seem to remember that a lot of Dahlkes awards were offered for sale here about 6 months ago. The EK is engraved with his name in runes right?

Can you show the photo of the engravings on the back of the EK????

          That is very interesting.
