    SS unit

    I know very little about SS but recently found a Luger Holster with this on the inside.
    It appears to me to say:
    SS ROTTF
    SEPP HANS
    6 H P(S)? R

    opinions please on what I think is the unit name.

      could it be 6th Panzer grenadiers.?

        No. It is the 6. Kompanie in what appears to be an engineer unit. Soldiers who marked their equipment with unit markings would use the Kompanie designation and not simply the designation of the Division, which would have been thousands of men.
