    Some Help

    Hi,

I am soliciting opinions as to the date and location of this image, and hopefully context as well. The car has Italian numbered plates and the man in uniform on the right was in the SS from 1933-1945. His uniform and sleeve patch have me curious and I am hoping a fresh set of eyes might help.

    Thanks in advance.

IT used to stand for the Hessen-Nassau district. I think it's a german plate.

The sport's badge is also of an early type, I think these were issued up to 34 but perhaps worn longer.

      Cheers

Apart from the DRL badge, the patch can't quite make out but perhaps something NSKK related? And like fritz said IT was the old code for the Hessen-Nassau area.

OK, now we are getting somewhere. The family had identified this picture as coming from one of his documented trips to Italy, so I made the assumption they were correct. Thanks very much for the clarification.

Can anyone else add their comments?
