Scull and eagle set

I am offered this eagle and scull. Seller tells he bought them at Mohawk Arms Inc many years ago. Please let me know from some of you guys with experience in these if they are original or not.

Both are original imho, but suffering from high levels of zincpest and most likely both have been cleaned.

I would recommend putting them both in vasoline for about 72 hours!! Slowed some of my zinc pest!!!

I would say early 1944/45, very late original set possibly from the period when the Waffen-SS was expanding rapidly.
