        AH cufftitle....oddity or what?

        Hello all,
I have had this since obtaining it in a batch of US and German insignia, back in 1978 or 79. It has been stored away or in a riker box on and off, and I have long wondered of it's provenance. In France, on a school trip in 1975, I picked up obviously bad copies of SS insignia in a Paris flea market, but this always puzzled me. It seems to be of the right material, but I have stayed away from SS items over the years, due to concerns of rampant forgeries, and cost. I have never seen anything like this . I am interested in what opinions there may be....is it an unused type, or an early fantasy piece?

Wrong band weave, VERY wrong text. A poor fake. Probably dates to the mid 70's.

This one is so bad in so many levels even as a copy.

                Ok

OK Always wondered, and not being an SS collector did not help. One thing...why bother making something that never existed? Silly question, which begs somewhat answers itself.... I guess as a teenager, and ogling it at a flea market I may well have bought it. Good thing it came with other junk that I found to be copies in later years.
A tip of the hat to those who know!

This range of cufftitles came in all manner of fake/fantasy types. Many had the yellow fake RZM labels with 4 digit serial numbers and red Hersteller stamps.

The only thing that could make it look worser is a spelling error
