SS embroidered sleeve eagle

Hi to all,
I found this (top) eagle from a good source. I am sure it is an original.
I remember to see one like this sewed to a M 44 dot pattern.
They are less often encountered. The constuction is similare compare to the one above but is thinner. Is somebody tell me more about that type?
