SS SAHARINA 1st Model, need opinions.

Like the Luftwaffe tropical tunic I posted a couple of hours ago ith the Luft. uniform section, I want to know the members opinions about this SS Saharina "1st model" tunic. There where some collar tabs "glued" to the collar that were repro and the original seller removed them before selling the piece, some of the glue residue remains as can be seen in the pictures. In the sleeve there a shadow of what appear to be a cuftittle...now long gone. The buttons look almost brand new with the exception of the two lower pockets that are mismacht with the rest. The eagle looks to be original apply.

I believe this tunic is an original and used example and I plan to restore it properly some day.....if indeed turn out to be an original...so if my fellow forum members can verified this...good or bad...will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for your opinion, I to have my suspicion about the eagle stiching..50/50...seems is not the original stiching as was said to be. Once more thanks.

I like the shadows on the tunic myself it looks to have the rite age to it also. Can't help you with the eagle but I'm with the opinion that the tunic is good. Hope to see it after you get it restored bet it will be a real bute.

Compares well to my 1st pattern example that also has the ultra narrow shoulder board channel variation which kinda' sucks since they don't fit the conventional shoulder board tounges.

Can you check the buttons, normally marked "JFS 41"
