If Im wrong, Im very happy to be corrected by you gentlemen. But like this and marked with "fancy" WAFFEN SS needs to be proven... If Im a sceptical SOB, do not take it personally. How many strange items have we seen marked with SS that is just a show to fool us? Im not going to argue against the believers, but still personally, I would believe only after hard evidence. So far I have not seen.

Any other that can show chairs or any other item marked like this? And, forgot to mention, with solid provenance.

    Cheers

i was with some friends in Heidelager with metal detectors, and we have ask old
people for 'old army stuff",one guy has some of the wooden items, pair of low boots, and estonian shild.
Arek, you have knowledge, and I know that. However I just need to see further evidence. Do you have any pics?

I agree - might be designed by the Amt Schönheit der Arbeit, at least authentic and typical period pieces.

This time the story can surely add to the value - just more provenance would be cool but period interieur shots are rare, especially from that place.

        Nonetheless quite interesting.

Thanks for showing Arek! The items you show looks more possible... But still the chairs, sorry to sound like a bitter sceptic, thats not what I intend, but WAFFEN SS in all capital letters and as strange imprints yet vague, as on the chairs is another thing IMHO. Easy to fake, no real solid evidence... Well, so far, not for me.

Am I the only sceptic here? I have to say Im surprised...

                  Cheers

I would be most greatful if you could provide further evidence.

                    Perhaps stamps from wardrobs?
                    Photos?

Guys, you must be joking !

I remember the local pub in the town I grew up in had several dozens of these in their ball room. Really made your behind hurt after sitting on them a few minutes. Should have checked beneath them for the stamp. Or go see whether they are still around stashed away somewhere ...

Why would a stamp underneath the base of a chair be worn? There is no reason for it to be other than to artificially age?

                        Can't see it personally.

.... meanwhile, somewhere in Germany a set of chisels are being sharpened.

Unfortunately you do not come along with any serious argument at all - neither pro nor contra, that´s a pity.

I do believe that these chairs are not only authentic but do have quite some potential - Auschwitz related items should be discussed in an appropriate manner.
