    Unterscharfuhrer Panzer boards

    Does anybody see any problem with this pair of boards? The top sides look textbook for later war SS Panzer, but the black undersides have me a bit concerned.

    Straps

    Mark,
    From the one picture, they are probably OK, but black undersides are usually indicative of army straps.

      re: Army Panzer NCO boards

      I don't know about the rest of you, but I've seen late war Army panzer NCO boards with mouse grey NCO tresse on field grey material but never on black wrapper boards.
      Have you?
      To me, the obverse of these boards are SS Panzer, not Army.
      Also, the great construction of these boards is better than any
      repros I've seen-usually something is wrong with the shape and
      stitching around the buttonholes or some other details of construction.
      If these are repros, the repros have become so good that I can't
      tell the difference and I've been collecting German shoulder boards for
      fifty years.

          Pz boards;

          I would like to see the piping a bit closer. If std Rayon piping material even with the subdued grey tress I would consider them to be mid-late Heer for what its worth.
