SS Handschar Collar Tab

I need your opinions in regards to this collar tab.
I received this item from a vet. He gave me a book and it had several different insignia glued to its pages, shoulder tabs, eagles, etc.
Everything about this tab looks ok to me. Does not glow under a black light, the backing material is the only thing I would question, but I have late war army collar tabs with similar backing material. Could it be a late war Dachau made?
All opinions are welcome and very much appreciated.

The back of the tab looks considerably different than the original tab (thread pattern), plus there are obvious differences on the front as well. Notice how fingers look "skinny" on this reproduction and do not touch. It is not a bad copy by any means, but it is still pretty obvious. I hope they never get better than this else we'll have a problem.
