Nice buttons! Yikes! I remember seeing it before and the listing stating that the buttons were "a nice period added touch" (customized like this) to make the wearer even more feared and respected! Yeah right!
Regarding your question I think the tunic buttons are actually larger than your standard TK VT-cap button! So fantasy!

IMO the base fabric looks like modern reenactment HBT, it might even be for US uniforms. I love the pajama pirate skull buttons.

I just noticed how you talk about goats a lot, I find the company of a well groomed goat as entertaining as the next guy but you seem to really like them. Your goat is rather homely though but to each his own.
