I have no idea on the camo.

    But the clips
There is even one clip that is more or less fully gone. That thin regular steel, under normal conditions is gone after 10 years when stored in the open in europe.

The springs are of a different type of steel which reacts slower and are furthermore covered by the fabric.

Nice cover and I do see ruststains on the cloth in various areas when it was stored crumbled up somewhere in a moisty area.
Too bad about the condition of the clps, the cloth was not effected!

Metal does not just vanish into thin air.

Staining ................lives on .....just like rock and roll ...was once pure

as much as I like this cover .......the metal work is as fishy as a richard peacher panzer wrap.

made in Italy .............to fool lads .........please wake up.

Fritz .........I 100% respect you opinion fully ......but there is darker forces at work here .

MY opinion ...........I may be wrong .............but its how I feel about this cover .

Looks very wrong to me. The material does not match the metalwork. Its hard to age the material without damaging it.. but the metal can be aged easily.

But who knows... my original one.. with similar clips has stains through the material where the springs have gone rusty.

That only has to do with the degree of the moisture. The moisture you'll encounter in some cellar or sort of won't be enough to cause the springs to bleed through...it will be enough to make the clips disintegrate over the decades though.

Look at the rivets for instance, they match the clips perfectly, yet, how do you apply "ground dug" clips without removing the original rivet?

Also, why using such bad steel clips when you could use aluminium clips that are in better condition?

Again, to me the cover is a perfectly fine original, stored in some damp cellar or whatever.

See this one here in order to understand what some limited humidity can cause over the decades.
