Skull/eagle M1/52 set

Hi to all ,

I'm far to be a specialist of these insignas ...
So I'm curious to know the opinions about this set .
I like the skull , and if I compare with the other ones showed in the forum , It look pretty similar .

About the eagle..it's more difficult ! so any comments are welcome .

Hi,

These are both well known cast reproductions.
The bottom of the "5" hangs too low on the back of skull and the lines
above the teeth are way too prominent and they do not line up with the teeth
correctly. This skull is commonly referred to as the "mustache skull".
The eagle's head is totally whack!
No original SS eagle's head looked like those do with that big eye.
I looks more like an owl or something.

or pressed.

I concur with the others. This is well know reproduction.

Actually, the first generation of these reproductions were die stuck and
looked very good compared to these. I believe these are second or third generation reproductions of this pattern that were cast from the first generation pieces. Basically, fakes of fakes. Best, Chris
