                    Nice set! Also, note the large style "52". This variation is harder to find than the normal marking.

                      Here's one with the 52 quite off-centre from the RZM circle - I think that makes for 5 different variations of this marking alone , still apart from the " 52 " stamped on the central forehead ( which seems to be even more rare ) .

                      That's a lot of dies for the very short time period in between the introduction of the RZM and the adding of the M1-prefix .

                      Deschler must have had quite an output at the time , any thoughts on this .. ?

                        Yes, there were several variations. Deschler was the primary manufacturer in the first few years of their production after 1934. Most of the other manufactures started production later. I finally picked up the "52 on the forehead" variation not long ago. They are all getting really difficult to locate.

                          These insignas belong to an early visor made by August Müller in the "Sonderanfertigung" quality.

                          This headgear surfaced recently in the east of France.

                          I'm pleased to show you the pics of the entire visor.
