    SS or Army boards?

Hello folks, I have been searching around trying to figure out the exact nature of these should boards and alas have come to you for help!

I am pretty sure they are Army Artillery boards (the stitching around the button hole - was my give away), so a rule out of SS boards would be appreciated!

If the base colour is black, there is a chance they could be SS.
What is the colour of the waffenfarbe?
I cannot ascertain the colours accurately.

I don't care for the way these are made, they look fake right off the bat. I know that is rare coming from the guy who loves fakes.

It looks to me that they the waffenfarbe is a faded red colour, but I suppose that doesn't matter if their is a chance they're fake... I thought the construction was pretty good myself, compared with this pair:

I think these are replica SS shoulderboards, based on their construction and materials. They may look pretty good in hand, but they are not on for SS boards.

The materials are too late to be the bottle green, so these were likely intended to be SS on black.

Just my opinion, but I would stay clear.

          regards, Robert
