              I believe the item and tags are likely to be real but am not sure. If the tags are real, I'm not sure the "SS" prefix in the number necessarily means this sample was a Waffen-SS pattern. The shirt in the link above has the same "SS" prefix but the shirt is labeled as being a Wehrmacht pattern.

                The Wehrmacht splinter covers also (often) have an SS prefix in the number stamp. Perhaps the SS refers to the textile manufacturer or textile labeling?

                  Perhaps it might have something to do with "Spinnstoff", woven fabric.
