SS pin

Hello, all.
To start off, I am a bit out of my league here as far as SS goes... as a Luftwaffe collector we all know the next stages of advancement is -- SS.

So now it is my time to learn step one...
I would like to know if this is original as it has recently came up on my radar.
I am aware of the raised lettering, which this has... BUT this isnt a stick pin - does that make a difference?

Hope I can gain some knowledge from this as its a new venture for me.

This is a fantasy item. No such pin was made during the 3rd Reich.
