Impossible to say Markus...there are peculiar things about the boards but to be honest I do not know. I would not buy anything from this dealer. If these things are real well they certainly survived a lot of collectors over the years and stayed well hidden.........The tuxedo badge hoard... and the abilities of these repro artists now I would not trust any of it. I even doubt the perfect DF tunic I bought from this man not a flaw but something about it was just not right.

Yes, John, back in those days, at least all of Kai's tunics components
were real. Nowadays even that is changing.

I remember a couple of years ago he offered about 20 pairs of
Officer and NCO 'LAH' cyphers in one update. 100 pct fakes, as
we know today (the round-screwholes). A lot of people fell for those.
EUR 500-600 a pair if I recall correctly. They all sold and never came
back. Like he told me once: 'I can sell everything...'

I'd prefer a used original, than a sparkling repro.

I someone reads this and wants to part with one of his originals
please send me a PM. I pay well for originality!

This LAH tunic had the round hole cyphers on it it was sold by Winkler to a guy on this forum called "Poef" When it was on his site for sale I considered it and sent him an email.....at the time he had a Photo Album grouping from a Das Reich Officer...I still have copies of the officers photo in a summer weight tunic.....Well I asked him where the LAH tunic came from...he said it belonged to the Das Reich officer grouping. I decided not to buy it...Someday someone will think this is an original LAH officers tunic and argue it till they are blue in the face...and it will sell at unbelievable prices over and over until everyone forgets its not the real thing.

The banned member "phoef" returned under another pseudonym "Youssouf" and attempted to sell the uniform on the estand...until it was discovered who he really was and he was rebanned. Here is the cypher from his tunic. Kai Winkler at the time had a supply of these Cyphers for sale on his old site..and they just happened to be the type found on this tunic he sold as well. All very nice looking insignias the uniform itself....could fool the very best except the cyphers.

                Nice looking setup!

But in the end nothing but a decoration-piece to hang badges
From and definitely no true historical artifact, every collector should
                be striving for.

The cyphers are total crap of course and an insult to every collector's
                intelligence.

An unmessed with WH-Leutnant tunic for a fraction of the cost
of this has more true historical value!

When it comes to uniform collections I still prefer WH, SS is just too
                dishonest mostly IMO.

                    Hi Martin !

What is your opinion on LAH cyphers not made from CupAl ?

                    Cheers from lock-down as well,

                    Markus

All officer cyphers are cupal without question!

After a week of silence, I do want to close the circle here.

Martin and I disagree, but all LAH NCO cyphers were CulAl as well. There's no reason why they should not.

(And I know Martin silently agrees with me )

                          CheeRS,

                          Markus.
