Were they found in the same box with tuxedo badges?

I don't know? Are they any good?

          I'm desperately looking for some.

              Steve- But are they pre-May 1945 ?

To me they do not. But then again, I have never handled some and I'm still waiting to have a real one in my small, but fine, collection.

Markus ,from my iPhone they look nice but w/ these I've been disappointed many times. A close examination would be required.

Wish I knew something about SS officers insignia..I simply am not versed in it...it has always scared me to even go there..but have great respect for those that know what they are doing in this arena..not for the faint at heart for sure.

                    Markus,

Proceed with caution. There are some scary repros coming out of Europe past and present as I am sure you well know. I have bought several pairs of these for my reenacting bluse and they have fooled some local collector friends who have been in the game 30 plus.

Here is a good link on these:

Are these the same friends as were peddling fakes earlier ?

Compair the piping on the boards with the piping on the board in the last post of this link Post 145 see how fine the braided coard is and tight. this type of piping when original does not have a lot of fibers hanging off of it here is a photo of one I had a while back also

Markus go and see a Doctor?
even if they were real? there not worth the price asked unless they came from the same jacket and were linked to a certain officer it's just a put together group.

                            Ian,

For you information no they did not. Was the comment really necessary? Did it add anything to the discussion? No it did not.

Sorry, I lost track (am on the Blackberry):

                              Are the cyphers bad?

                              Are the boards bad?

                              Cheers,
