SS Luftwaffe (Generals) Visor & Stuff

Fellow collectors,

This was interesting for a number of reasons. First, this 93-year-old veteran's estate included the capture papers listing the visor, overcoat, and other bits - these were definate vet bring-backs.

But not in this state - the police overcoat definately didn't see wartime service with this Waffen SS infantry get-up, and - for the love of all that's holy - is that a luftwaffe enlisted bird attached to an SS General's visor cap (the answer is yes, sadly).

The camoflauge uniform was just tossed in with the mix, which was described as an air force uniform.

So when we scratch our heads trying to figure out why our collectibles that came "right from the seabag" are strangely configured...

This cap is from the very rare Luftwaffen -SS aviation unit. They flew FW 190 Doras with Normandy Cammo. The unit was commanded by an Obersturmbannflieger who was originally attached to the 101 SS Schwer Panzer Battalion.

Well guys , this estate sale was 5 min from my house , i missed out on everything but ...................... the visor , I am thrilled to own this . i will be posting pics of it later . I almost had the summer camo outfit but for another collector grabed it as soon as i layed it down to neg the price , he also got the coat .....I never knew of the estate sale i bumped into it amazing !!!!

Congrats! You don't find SS general's visors everyday. How much was it?
