Fake Leistungsrune

Hello,
We have been proposed this Leistungsrune in silver by a dealer in a recent militaria show. This decoration seems to be clearly bogus. The runes' position is off and they are too fat. The catch of the pin is not what we should see normally.

By the way we are also a bit astonished by the ridiculous hammer price of the fake Leistungsrune in silver sold in HH Auction 63 (lot 4124 : 15K all included !)
It is very sad for the buyer, because the runes's position is no good too, the runes are two small, and the quality of the enamel is very average ?

The first one is fake and the second is genuine. A silver is very rare, perhaps only 5 or so in collections.

Agree with Steve, i like the second one very much, the first one definately not.

15k is ridiculous though

Many more of these were made than most collectors think, although i agree (again) that the silver awards are much scarcer!

why is the silver model looks so different from the bronze model ?

The runes don't have the same dimensions ? Or is the sonnenrad bigger ?
