The Kav winkle looks awfully minty compared to the other insignia.

An ODE to a Uniform..by Wewelsburg

        Oh,restored lot of Allgemeine-SS...
How I long for your Woolen Caress,
And how my Spirit would be a'rousin,
For just a pentence of Thirty-Five Thousan'
For thee I Lust, and my loins scream aloud..
to be robed in your blackness like a shroud,
And though your are not Waffen,TK or VT,
My soul still longeth to be with thee.

My goodness what talanted members we have here!

What a nice poem! My respect!

However I feel guilty because I killed Richards spirit to post his

Sorry man! I hope your inspiration will come back. These October festival girls are what we need to bring the good mood to come along. Perhaps I judge you by my standards, but things like this makes me truly romantic if there are no untouched tunics around.

Cheers and Happy Easter to all!

                  SS Tunic

Hello Everyone. Thanks for the comments on this tunic I have on consignment. I have posted an additional 120 or so photos on my sight for futher inspection. It comes from the vets niece and has been in a box as it was found in Germany. Nothing has been added or taken away as I have been told. What you see (except for maybe some mothing) is the way it as discovered. If you would like to see more detailed photos of any area or would like to stop by sunny Charleston, SC to examine it you are more than welcome. I do appreciate fellow collectors of these historical items. In my opinion it really is a rare and authentic piece.

                    Outfit

A beautiful outfit including a rare original August Mueller officer visor. Seems to be right out of the veterans trunk in the attic. I highly doubt anything is re-sewn. Indeed the tabs may not be sewn to "our" liking as collectors, but there is nothing conclusive to indicate that they were re-sewn in recent times.

Hello, I know I have an advantage because I have the uniform in my hands and can only share the photos. I agree with you 100%, I do not think these were re-sewn on in recent times but repairs made very late in the war. You can tell this was worn to the very end and worn a lot. Even though the photos are good it doesn't do the tunic justice. Thanks for your post.
