    Nordland Boards

    Hi Guys,

I would appreciate your views on these Nordland boards. I have limited experience in this area.

    Many thanks and warm regards

I was looking at these as well, but "happily decided" to pay some hospital bills instead of purchasing them.

Don't you have free healthcare in Norway?

I do not think it is rude to say that they are for sale at Weitze. Spotted by many including myself of course. Do I like them as all original Nordland boards? I would not take the chance. They are listed for the price of a put together IMO.
These kind of rare boards are hard to judge without a hands on and close comparisons of wear, sunk in, and of course the metal cyphers.

Not everything is free, you have to pay until you have reached a limit, then most parts of the healthcare become free.

There is also 2 types of reciepts, a "blue" and a "normal". Normal you have to pay, blue is free. There is other money traps aswell.

I dont want to hijack this thread, but my wallet hurts right now.

                    Hi Guys,

                    Thanks for all the input.

I agree with Felix 100% that a hands on inspection is the way to go. Looking at the back where the pins come through it does look (to me) as though they have been there for some time but we will see. When I have them in hand I will take some detailed pictures.

Does anyone have an original example of the cyphers so we can compare ?

                    Warm Regards

                    P

Here is one thread for information:
                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ordland+cypher

                      The search function is great.

Hard to judge unless clear good close pice.
One should also bear in mind that a matching pair of original war time "N" Nordland cyphers mounted originally on boards is a very, a VERY, rare thing to find. This calls for close scrutinity.

Dreams might come true and one might be lucky. However to feel sure about originals and sit back enjoying that quality whisky, and the sight of true boards calls for one to be certain. A lot of things should be weighed in.

P.s. If was 100% sure on these boards, I probably would have bought them.

                          N Cyphers

From what I can see, I like the cyphers, long thin prongs with the diagional cut. Like everyone else I would have to see the straps before I would give an opinion as to ,if they are original to the straps
