WSS Handschar collartab and sleeve eagle

Have been offered these for private sale, and the vendor kindly allowed me to post these photos for forum perusal. The Handschar denotes a Croatian volunteer, right? The insignia were apparently cut from a uniform & brought back by a GI.

I really don't know enough about this area yet to form a solid opinion off my own bat. I'd feel a lot better with some forum feedback no matter how good the piece looks to me.

    Thanks,
    Peter

Very odd, attachment manager confirms I've attached three pics, but nothing visible in the thread when I check. Pardon me as I try again...

OK, well there you go, you can attach multiple pics in one go but if you exceed a limit in total combined file size they just won't load. I know why everybody posts multiple pics in a descending bunch of replies to their own post now. You weren't just trying to wear out my scrolling hand at all.

        And the back.

Heading off the inevitable question: I have no better ones, these are the pics as they were sent to me.

            Thanks Gary, much appreciated!

I've decided to hang on and pass on buying these for now & concentrate instead on German and some Dutch/Flemish volunteer items, but am posting them on the E-Stand on behalf of the vendor if anybody is interested.

Peter, I agree that the items are real, but I do not think they were taken off tunics...I think they are just damaged...I have never ever seen a worn Handschar tab...just mint ones from Dachau..as these guys served in the Balkans and for the most part US GI's never made it there to Yugoslavia (just a few intelligence guys with Tito's hq etc were there--same with the British guys, although Croat armies did surrender to them so I can see the possibility of British vet items....and have bought some myself) so I would think that a vet bring back of worn Handschar stuff would be scarce....these tabs are common and I would hold out for one in better shape...same for the eagle.
