Waffen SS Medical boards

Could I get your ideas on the color of the piping on the boards.
One is medical for sure and the other looks to be the same just possibly a different piping material thus the slightly different shade of blue.
Is the one without the medical symbol a medical color piping also?

Yes. I have seen both weaves of piping used on these. I also think that it started being used earlier than most believe....perhaps even by 39-40.

Even though these boards look to me like they show slightly different age and wear from each other and the device is only on one not seemingly ever on the other.....I would not discount that otherwise just because of the shade and piping weave difference that such boards could have been worn as a pair on a single tunic or GC......we notice these details much more than were paid attention to a the time I think.
