Hi,

Here for your enjoyment is a cap that i have been waiting for for longer than i can remember it's untouched in every way and has only been in the collection that i got it from ,it was bought from a local vet many years ago and iv'e been waiting ever since, near mint only damage is the sweet band that is a little wornand the diamond is missing ,text book example and what a great size.

eagle,both insignia apear to be plated tombak am i correct and can the makers be asertained from the pics, this cap is way better than my other nco's.

Hi,

Yes, the makers of the insignia can be identified by the front.
The eagle is an Assmann and the skull is a Deschler.

A very nice rar beauty, it´s also one of my favorites !
The VA=Verwaltungsamt stamp is not specific related to the LAH. You will find this kinda stamp also for items for the VT=Verfügungstruppe or the Allg.SS. The Kleiderkasse was then later related to the VA, and later around 1940-1941 it was then the WVHA=Wirtschafts-und Verwaltungshaupt.
