At Sachsenhain, the Reichsfuehrer set up 1000 stones, arranged in pagan style, to commemorate the 1000 pagan Saxons beheaded by the Christian Emperor Charlemagne in the 9th Century........which Himmler regarded as an early example of anti-German genocide, to be remembered by all SS men........

The SS-Ahnenerbe was established to fund the reconstruction of Wewelsburg, and to study Nazi ancestral heritage, to 'prove by scientific means the racial hypotheses of the Third Reich'..........

He claimed to be able to decode the hidden mysteries of the runes, found carved into stones at the Externsteine and elsewhere across northern Europe and beyond........

Himmler viewed Wewelsburg as a new Montsalvat, the castle of the Grail Knights,...........

And the Wewelsburg Castle crypt bore more than a passing resemblance to the stage set at Bayreuth Opera House, where Wagner's 'Parsifal' related the story of the Grail Knights, blood mysteries and the chosen few...........
