Or, if there is a deep lake nearby, just row out in the middle and 'deep-six' them. That's what happened to the fake British Pounds (money) at the end of the war..........

I do LOVE this thread! What wonderful dreams................

if i remember right he just blew 1/2 mountian ontop of the rings, i think the hole was already there. and what demolishiner wouldnt enjoy playing with his explosives?

Me and Wewelsburg. (Please note - No metal detector visible as I had not read this thread) BTW Robin... I had read somewhere that the rings were blast sealed by a castle caretaker. I assume they meant the SS demolitions officer?

Inner courtyard. Doorway to the Hall of the Supreme Leaders can be seen at the base of the tower.

Hall of the Supreme Leader. (I did not even ask to get in. But will next time)

                            Himmler's WC!!!

No one mentioned the original castle toilet! (Kind of wondered if anyone looked in here for relics...)

This is inside the castle museum.

Of all the exhibits in the museum, the one that caught my eye was the feuerwehr display. I found it interesting that they had wooden aquaducts for water supply and water hydrants made from hollowed tree trunks.

Lower courtyard, outside the door to the crypt. (Note the ping pong tables for the youth hostel)
