    NSDAP Political uniform?

    Goodafternoon,

    I came across this uniform.
Could it be a NSDAP political uniform?
If yes, is it a replica or authentic?

The hook is marked with RZM 257/40 RZM

There is a armband in the pocket. I have asked for a photo of it.

A 1940 marked dagger hanger in a black tunic is not a good sign. These were discontinued in 1939.

Please post close-ups of the collar patch area, armband, back of the tunic and the buttons.

At the moment my money's on this being a dyed and tarted up BGS tunic.

      Hi Ian,

      Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately the uniform is not in my possession.
I will try and get some more photos.

        Ian,
Please post a picture of an undyed BGS uniform so we can see the similarity.

Unless someone has information on the tailor tag being a fake, there is nothing that jumps out at me from the photos to indicate the tunic is bad.( Looking at photos from my iPhone.)The 1940 dated clip means nothing as black tunics were produced and worn well after that date.

Post 37, these were frequently dyed black, lower pockets left on or removed.

I was requesting clear shots of the back because these lack the 'Rock' cut and rear support ramps.

Yes, a shot of the back would be helpful. The lower pocket flaps on the subject tunic are clearly at a nice angle which is appropriate. This does not conform with BGS cut.

The Gunter Malik label is indeed found in fakes, which I think this tunic is...

The lower right (wearer's left) appears to be parallel not sloped and there looks to be the stitch lines from where the lower patch pockets were removed ... that's based on the first of these bad photos.
