From these photos I would not want them.
I find the wear and the field "colouration" of the yellow piping not on par with the quite minty top braid.

The bright silver braid would put me off, as it looks like it was harvested from LW or some defunct parade boards. Most of the slip on ones you see are matt grey or off-white. The silver wire types seem more common for formal sew-ins, IMO.

Is the top braid actually shiny? Or is it matte silver illuminated by the flash? A photo outdoors without flash may render a more accurate overall picture. I like the rayon piping application.

For me the jury is still out.

                    Braid

Braid looks matt to me with nice rayon piping.

Rayon piping is good. Thats not the issue here.
But where does it come from? Why is the piping soiled? Why is there fresh "non" soiled piping" close to the braid top? Why is the braid so fresh?

Does not make sense to me.... Built together?

                      Not any boards for me.

                          I would pass.

A second look at the piping and I see what Fritz is getting at...there are sections of the piping flat "tail" that are exposed between the coils of braid, and show deep yellow, as opposed to the outer exposed tube of piping which shows significant fading and soiling. If the piping had always been on these boards, all exposed areas should match.

I stand convinced...you should pass on these boards regardless of the top braid conclusion whether matte or shiny.
