What do you think about these eagles? For me enlisted / NCO eagle looks OK.

To me it looks as if it could have been artificially distressed and stained, also the stitching is not period.

Are you sure ? The eagle is sewn to the late war coat in relict condition (a lot of moths holes, few bigger after mice). Now, the coat is after washing but I see it before cleaning and it looked and smeled very authentic. This weekend I will try to make a few additional photos.
