Why do people even consider starting collecting and not buy the reference books and spend some time learning the subject, so many crap waiting for naive collectors loaded with cash

The skull almost looks like cro magnon man. Its a good point Obergruppen2. Seems to me as a newbee that there's so much money that can be wasted its worse than a mine field. Places like this are essential just for the advice the community can offer. Are we sure the mud is even real?
