I need help with this SS officer bullion arm eagle.
    Is it a good one?
    Opinions are welcome.

    Cheers,

Without commenting on the eagle itself ... it looks like some kind of artificial ageing has taken place around it.

        Eagle

Unusual bullion highlights instead of the black threads normally used.
A hard call on this one either way. Nice detail and seems well made. Yet, John Pic could be correct.

That particular Sieder fake is copied from a Belgian made SS eagle. There are many subtle differences found on the original, but same basic design and the Belgian used gray thread highlights instead of black. The fake looks to have used metallic thread highlights as they were probably working off a photo.

Richard here's the same eagle with gray thread highlights..these wer done based on a wartime patern unterlagen..years ago on GDC we compaired the original an RZM version with these fakes they were identical in shape but the design is wrong.

Thgey just kept coming...so many on tunic you would think this was the standard officers Eagle but it is a fake all with subtle differences probably do to the time frame which they were made..all exhibit no wear or oxidizing that was credible.

Once again..the loose ones usually have the white Sieder stamp on the backside. These are not a "Hard call" they are what they are.
