Hello ,
This cap is not diabolic or artificially aged...
Just a good well worn M43 cap with a correct lining , the good old yellow/ gold /
Brownish lining found in most of the standart 42 and 43 jacket and 42 overseas cap/ 43 cap .
This same lining was used for the panzer 43 cap too !! and I must admit it's a good security for me ! I' ve seen , on fake 43 cap , many type of lining ( including original materials : Italian satin and ribbed cotton cut from great coat ) , but never with this ultra classical satin !
Now , it is Panzer ? from the pics , difficult to say....the cap is not post war
black tinted because the lining is clear .
But for sure , someone put and sewn , after 45 , a death head through the lining ..and later a embroided trap !
So , the best thing is to add a good ss or heer trap with matching patina !
That will be not the "pure untouched" 43 cap , but , I'm sure it's the case
of most of the SS caps in the collection todays.......it's the sad reality !
It's amazing to see how many ss uniforms and caps appears on the market today....from " very serious dealers" , with "period sewn" insignas !
In fact , it's more realistic to think these pieces are original , but recently put toghether with original insignas too .( you pay 1000 usd or more the work of a
dressmaker and ....the dream )
PS : sorry for my english.....
