The cloth on the cap above looks original to me, below are 2 original period smocks, the one cut down has the hatching example of printing

Hi,
I have no problem with the camo cap posted by Ken being an original. Here is my camo cap for comparison purposes, which has been posted in my web site for a long time.

Here are several shots taken from my Waffen-SS KURSK 1943 photo book series which show excellent views of the camo cap. Hope this helps to make some comparison.
DaveJ I'm sorry to report that your cap is an Austrian reproduction made from original SS Zeltbahn material. However your bevo skull looks original.
Gary I'm leaning towards Ken's cap being an original. But there is some really dead on "Blurred Edge" repro camo out there which came from California. They produced bot smocks and reversible camo caps from this material. I actually have one in my collection and will have to dig it out to make a comparison. Bear in mind there were quite a few manufacturers of SS cam and many variants of each pattern due exist.
