    SS Camo Cap

Everyone, here is another cap by that collector who asked that I post some of his items on our forum. He is looking for opinions on the item and what the fair-market value of the item is. I believe he is looking to sell.

    Thanks again!

    Ken

Original SS camo's are the rarest of the rare. Is there anyone on the forum that owns one? But this is not even the correct material.

                      Hello,

I owned a very worn blurred edge cap - from Mike Beaver through Bill Shea. I traded it back and he sold it some months back with an asking price of about $1400. This cap is much more heavily worn - if real, perhaps $1200?

                        Hi Mike, Curt,

This is a nice original piece not sure what you mean by the material being incorrect Curt, looks fine to me and the camo material used by the SS varies in type, never been a great advocate of the whole 'only one type of material thing'. I agree with Mike around $1200-1400 dollars.
                        Again a nice piece.

                        Cheers

                        Mark

                          Hi Mark,

On first glance I tend to agree with you - however my only concern is the 'hatching' of the light black blurred edging. The blurred edge stuff I have had has never had these lines - it was a distinct single colour overprint. This concerns me.

This being said, the construction, stitching and grommets appear spot on. Comments?

                          Mike

When I got the cap there was an outline of a skull and I hand tacked that one in place, here is a side shot
