I'm no expert, but when I first saw it the buttons seemed wrong to me and the Eagle struck me more as something off of an SA kepi, but then initial SS issue would have been out of SA stock I would think, I just did not get a good feel from it. The skull reminds me more of a Hussar skull from WW1 than an SS skull also. For what it's worth.
