    Ring

Any artifact that has been altered almost always commands less. IMO, the TK Ring is somewhat of an exception, due to it's rarity and desirability. This is even more true when dealing with rings with rare dates. PS: Notice the "evenness" of the letters and their spacing in the name, even though it's long.

        Hello
Since it was obviously resized and the skull incorrectly reattached post war, what would be the harm to reattach the skull correctly (this time using the correct solder). I don't advocate altering pieces, but in this case, I think it would benefit. Just my opinion. Ron

          Yes - why not?

Just buy it and after becoming the new lucky owner feel free to do so.

After all it´s a free country.

            thanks ron.

yes it was obviously resized - upwards (ewald reischenbeck clearly gained weight) but boyle said the TK could well have been re-attached pre-'45.

anyhow, no harm in setting it right I can see. the buyer is certainly welcome to do this. should be a straightforward job for a jeweler. I think gottlieb refers to such in his book.... d

I was not looking to buy, but merely giving my opinion, nothing more. Ron

Yes definitely boring old ewald not his war krimi bro wilhem who's not in the d.a.l. There are only 2 reischenbeck ss officers also won the blutorden & like his bro was an early entrant in the black corps.

Private researcher mikje cernacky is looking into other details concerning ewald and the buyer can coordinate with him.
