    SS-BW on Estand

I really think the SS-BW stamp in the SS M-36/40 tunic posted on estand is awesome. Not many original stamps are posted so this one is a real treat.

Agree and it is a rare chance to buy an original Waffen-SS tunic in great shape with the true-SS cut lining and SS-BW stamp, reduced to e7ooo and still no takers, go fugure.

Is this a sales pitch? The seller is a known restoration expert and the ink stamp while correct is a bit smeared and may have been very faded before being touched up with a sharpie to make it show better which was a mistake because it ended up damaged IMO compair with the size stamps

Yes and no, in 1934 the SS renamed the Sturmführer rank Untersturmführer.

John, the SS-BW stamp is absolutely untouched, and clearly printed time after the tunic was manifactured and printed with the size stamps, the size numbers arent faded, just stamped with less black ink.
Instead the SS-BW stamp was clearly done time after, in the depot. When was introducted this stamp, with more black color on the stamp, this was common, if not made together.
The tunic is great, a good chance to get an original SS M40/36 uniform.
