Opinions On Leather U Boat Jacket Please

This coat is for sale locally. I don't like the tag. I think it is post war? If in fact it is original is $250 a fair price?

Good coat but not suitable for 12th SS pzr impression. They used the black version of this coat!

Thanks Nick, but I have seen pictures of the grey ones being worn by SS men. While they were not as common certainly as the black ones I am sure the grey ones were worn as well.

All were grey when taken from italian stocks. Before given to the tankers they were painted black.
Those ones fetch big prices, as those are the "real deal" for 12th SS panzer. Issue black ones are of course much easier to be found today, therefore cheaper.

PS: 250,- is a very fair price for that one.

That's the same U-Boot leather jacket on e bay right now the starting bid is $250.00. It will sell higher, to a Kriegsmarine collector. It also is a large size so that helps.

Can you or anybody post pictures of these in gray in panzer use?
Black was the norm for SS tankers (dyed or not).

Can you show the Grey version in use? From what I know and seen and from photographs from my private archive only show the Black Leather uniforms ment for the Italian Navy.
