IM very HO, I'd say I havn't seen authentic eagles quite like these. They look nearly OK, but not right. This isn't to say 100% they are repros, and I hope another member with a wider knowledge will chime in and for your sake, say they're good.
In my 'photo-file' of about 100+ authentic sleeve eagles, I cannot find a match. So I'll go out on a limb, and say steer clear. In my limited experience of these, if it doesn't match textbook, I'm wary.
On the 1st pattern eagle, I'm still trying to learn good from bad - but it's a difficult task as they are extremely rare. A few members here have some, and maybe they'll give their opinions.
Sorry to not be able to say for sure - I'll be watching this thread to maybe learn some more too!
        regards

          Damn!
I'm looking even closer at these eagles, and in danger of going crosseyed.
I'm gonna go against everything I just said, and I feel they're more 'OK' than 'not OK' now (not sure on the 3rd) That's how unsure I've become on these!
Someone chime in, and put us out of our misery!

OK,I'll come off the fence. I'd fall for number 1 & 2 (which I think is an early war type which I particularly like) as for number 3 I know nothing of the 1st pattern but it's not like the more common fakes I've come across.

So now wait for the experts to prove me wrong

            Cheers,Ian.

Thanks for helping out!! You're right on telling the fakes from the real ones. I'm still learning myself and struggle with this all the time. I truly appreciate your input...it's a learning experience for all of us!!

                Ian,
Thanks for the input! I'm terribly curious what the experts have to say. Thanks again for your help!

                  EM Eagles

Hi Ken, IMHO I think #1 and 2 are fine, in fact I like #2 very much. However, I would not touch #3 because I don't have enough of knowledge about that style. I think we have to remember that hundreds of thousands (Waffen SS) of these em eagles were made, and since we can't have a sample of them all, we have to go by what we know about German WWII manufacturing. I think the construction of #1 and #2 speaks for itself. Sonny
