SS/SA eagle RZM M1/52 advice needed

Posted this elsewhere, but thought i might get some help here on it

I picked this up yesterday it comes with a guarantee of authenticity from Detlev Niemann from 2006 stating it cost 100 euro's. I'm going to move it on or swap and don't want someone getting a fake piece! Is it ok?

    Cheers Adam

I always thought those intended for SS use had the concave swastika with the black paint, these are generic party eagles and could be used by any number of organisations.

As for the Niemann COA that's not worth the paper it's written on, many people would even consider it a red flag these days.

Thanks Ian, I always thought the hero worship of Detlev was stupid. I don't collect German bits anymore, i collect and deal in British medals. The cap eagle came in with a lot of german items.

      Cheers Adam

        Eagle

The eagle you posted is a first pattern eagle used on political leader visor caps and should not be considered SS/SA as it's smaller counterpart. It is a nice original piece however.

What's strange is that the M prefix is above the 1/52 which to me doesnt look right; or maybe this was also accepted by the RZM?

That's where the prefix was on Cupal SS-eagles by Deschler , so that shouldn't be a problem .
Must admit this is the first M34 eagle I've seen with a prefix at all ..
