SS EM Runic Tab - Original?

Yesterday I bought a collection from the relatives of a now-deceased collector. He had a combination of original and reproduction German items. I am wondering if this SS EM runic collar tab is original. As you can see, it was removed from the collar of a uniform. Since I don't know my SS cloth as well as I would like, I am hoping that you SS cloth collectors can tell me if the tab is fake or real. Thanks in advance!
