    SS Panzer Grenadier Waffenfarbe

    Hi all:
    Is there any historical evidence to suggest that SS Panzergrenadiers (footsoldiers) ever used pink piping on their shoulder boards, or was the pink Waffenfarbe strictly reserved for Tank/Panzer crews??

    Panzer and Panzerjager troops wore Rosa waffenfarbe. SS Panzergrenadiers wore white waffenfarbe, they were 'motorized infantry'.

      Thanks for the quick response. Did Panzerjager soldiers use standard infantry weapons (MP44, MG34, etc) or were they specialized 'tank-destroyers' with specific weapons and tactics??

        Early panzerjager units had the PAK40 75mm gun and adapted the use of the Flak 88mm, the gun crews and support troops would carry normal infantry weapons.
