Small SS Standarte

I have one of these small regimental standartes, for an Army unit. This SS Standarte belongs to a friend. I have no idea if it is real or not. The one that I have has never beenquestioned by me as it was a freebie many years ago. Were these kind of things ever made as desk ornaments or is this just a Delta Fantasy Item? I put a BIC pen next to it to give dimension to it.

this looks post war made , specially the fringe . As you stated , you can find various types being sold still today.
some dealers still claim original & try to sell for big money (specially one dealer in germany).
still a nice item to display with a collection.
